Can I use the online bank for a person I am the guardian of?

You must use your own online bank for an overview of the accounts of the people you are guardian of.

What do I do with AvtaleGiro and eFaktura (eInvoice) agreements?

No changes are made to existing agreements. If you want to create a new AvtaleGiro, you can do this in your own online bank in the account of the person(s) you are the guardian for.

Can a debit card be linked to a savings account?

Cards can only be linked to current accounts.

Which accounts can I order?

Current account and savings account.

What should I do when the clients are deprived of legal capacity?

If it is clear from the submitted legal guardianship that the person you are the guardian of is deprived of legal capacity, we will contact you.

We cannot issue BankID to a person who, in whole or in part, has been deprived of legal capacity.

If the person you are already guardian of is deprived of their legal capacity in the period during which you are guardian, we recommend that you contact us.

Can I log in using a code device from another bank?

You can use BankID from another bank when you log in.

Where can I find bank statements for people I am guardians of?

When you are registered as a guardian, you will find bank statements in the archive in your own online bank.

How can I order a debit card?

You can order a new debit card for yourself or a person you are guardian for in the guardian portal.

If you need to replace a stolen or lost card, a guardian or client can do this by contacting us by chat, telephone or online bank message.

Which cards can I order?

The cards available in the guardian portal are VISA cards that can be used for contactless payments and online.

Can I change multiple clients at the same time?

In the guardian portal you can only order changes for one client at a time. In your online bank, you can manage all your clients from your own online bank.

NB!

Even if you are appointed as guardian, security instruments, cards and pins issued in the client’s name must not be used/managed by anyone other than the client themselves. To get an overview, you will be assigned a separate role in your client’s account, so as the appointed guardian, you have the necessary access in your own online bank.

Please note the following:

Unless there is full or partial deprivation of legal capacity, the legal account holder can also, after appointing a guardian, take legal action and dispose of their own funds, without requesting consent from a guardian. He/she can also revoke any decisions/changes that have been made by the guardian. See The Norwegian Guardianship Act, Section 21.
