Retail customers

Sbanken customers will become customers of the Sbanken brand at DNB. All agreements and applicable conditions will be transferred in full to DNB Bank. Just like before, we will give you information well in advance about any future changes in prices or services.

Corporate customers

After the merger on 2 May 2023, Sbanken will become part of DNB Bank ASA, and DNB will become the legally responsible financial institution for Sbanken’s business customer agreements. From the same date, Sbanken is no longer a separate financial institution. All agreements and applicable conditions will be transferred in full to DNB Bank.

Important information

After the merger, DNB Bank ASA will be legally liable for Sbanken’s customer relationships.

  • After the merger, DNB Bank ASA will be legally liable for your relationship to the bank. Your customer relationship with its applicable agreements and conditions will be transferred in full to DNB Bank. This means that all rights and obligations that currently follow from your customer agreement with Sbanken will be taken over by DNB Bank ASA.

After the merger, the deposit guarantee covers deposits up to a total of NOK 2 million

  • The deposit guarantee covers deposits up to a total of NOK 2 million after the merger. The deposit guarantee provides security for up to NOK 2 million in the bank in which you have an account. The guarantee follows the financial institution, so the guarantee will therefore be limited to two million in deposits in DNB Bank ASA after the merger. This affects customers who, before the merger, have total deposits at DNB and Sbanken of more than two million. We will send additional information about this to everyone who has deposits in both banks.

DNB Bank will be the data controller of your personal data after the merger.

  • DNB Bank will be the data controller of your personal data. DNB’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) will be the new point of contact if you have questions or feedback about data protection. You can contact the Data Protection Officer (DPO) at personvernombudet@dnb.no. In regard to how personal data is processed under the Sbanken brand, you can always find updated information in the Personal Data Act at sbanken.no. More information about how DNB Bank processes personal data can be found at www.dnb.no/om-oss/personvern.

Customer Service

Customer Service

Similarly, existing DNB customers will also continue to use customer service as normal, whether it’s by telephone, chat or to book a meeting with us at one of our offices.
