DNB Næringseiendom (DNB Real Estate Investment Management, DNB REIM) - for people and the environment

DNB Næringseiendom (DNB Real Estate Investment Management, DNB REIM) was certified in 2015 in accordance with ISO 14001, which is an environmental management system. We take environmental responsibility seriously and work continuously on improvement, particularly within the environmental aspects of energy, waste and pollution.

We energy label our buildings and assess each year which buildings we need to upgrade the energy class on. All of our buildings report waste fractions, sorting rates and volume.

• We must comply with statutory regulatory requirements relating to the external environment.
• We must contribute to reducing the burden on the environment and climate by continuously promoting new behavioural patterns and technical solutions that can reduce CO2 emissions.
• We must integrate environmental and climate considerations into our daily operations.
• We must develop sustainable commercial buildings for the future.
• We must provide our tenants with added value through increased profitability and reduced environmental impact, and help our tenants and partners reduce their environmental and climate impact.

Through our environmental work, we have succeeded in reducing electricity consumption in the property portfolio under management by 38 GWh over a ten-year period. The reduction is equivalent to more than NOK 30 million annually. For the entire period, this amounts to several hundred million kroner in savings for our customers.

The Scandinavian Property Fund's property portfolio is managed by DNB Næringseiendom (DNB Real Estate Investment Management, DNB REIM). An annual benchmark is conducted to map the fund portfolio's environmental status, the manager's ability to organise environmental work and communicate objectives and results.
