AvtaleGiro and eFaktura (eInvoice)

AvtaleGiro (Agreed, regular payments from your account to a specified recipient)

  • You don’t need to record the payment and think about the due date
  • You do not need to deal with long KID (customer ID) numbers or any other payment information
  • The bank will ensure that the bill is paid automatically and on time
  • If you wish to change a fixed debit date, you must contact the payee. You can stop and change individual payments in the payment summary
  • If you wish to change the debit account, you can do this in the online bank under AvtaleGiro and eFaktura – My Agreements

eFaktura (eInvoice)

  • With eFaktura, you’ll find your bill in the online bank. You don’t need to enter any long KID numbers (customer ID) or any other payment information, and can change the amount and due date if necessary
  • eFaktura (eInvoice) will not be charged to your account until you confirm the bill in the online bank, mobile bank or by text message
  • You can view the invoices in the online bank, and print them out as needed
  • Since the bills come to your online bank, and you can choose to be notified by email or SMS, you don’t have to depend on regular post, for example, if you’re on holiday

AvtaleGiro with eFaktura (eInvoice)

  • AvtaleGiro with eFaktura is an automatic payment of the eFaktura you have received in the online bank
  • You don’t need to record the payment and think about the due date
  • The bank will ensure that the bill is paid automatically and on time
  • You can change the due date, amount and debit account in addition to stopping the payment
  • You can view the invoices in your online bank at any time, and print them out as needed

How to sign up for a new agreement

  • When you pay a bill in your online bank, to someone who offers AvtaleGiro, you will be asked if you want to enter into an AvtaleGiro agreement next time. Then you just have to say “Yes”!
  • To make it easier for you, you can let the bank set up new eFaktura agreements automatically. You can turn off automatic registration at any time.
  • eFaktura is set up in the online bank. You will find it under “Everyday banking and loans” and “AvtaleGiro and eFaktura (eInvoice)”.

Manually:

  • Record the KID number (customer ID) for the one you want to set up the AvtaleGiro with. You’ll find this on the last bill you’ve received. Log in to the online bank, find your way to AvtaleGiro and eFaktura (eInvoice), and search for the desired recipient from the menu option > Sign a new agreement. When you sign the agreement(s), you must register the KID number (customer ID).
  • If you don’t use online banking, you can send us a form to set up an AvtaleGiro by regular post.

What is AvtaleGiro?

AvtaleGiro is an agreement between you and the payee to pay your bills automatically. Once the agreement is set up, you will see the payment in your Payment summary, and the payment will be made automatically on the due date.

How do I delete AvtaleGiro?

Delete an AvtaleGiro agreement under “Everyday banking and loans” and "AvtaleGiro og eFaktura (eInvoice)". Select the shortcut “Delete AvtaleGiro agreement”.

Why hasn’t an AvtaleGiro been paid?

There may be several reasons why the AvtaleGiro debit has not been paid.

  • Insufficient funds in account
  • The maximum amount of the AvtaleGiro agreement is lower than the payment and must be increased
  • You have stopped the AvtaleGiro payment in the Payment summary
  • You have deleted the AvtaleGiro agreement itself

If an AvtaleGiro payment has been stopped, it can be reactivated again under “Everyday banking and loans” and “Payment summary”.

What should I do when the amount or due date is incorrect?

If the amount or due date is incorrect, you can change this under “Everyday banking and loans” and “Payment summary”.

If you wish to make a permanent change to the due date, you should contact the payee.

Why isn’t AvtaleGiro working?
  • The amount is higher than your chosen maximum limit for the agreement
  • Insufficient funds in the debit account
  • It may take up to 8 weeks for the payee to submit the first bill
  • Check with the payee that the KID (customer ID) and account number are correct
How do I set up a new AvtaleGiro?

Set up AvtaleGiro in the online bank under Everyday banking and loans - AvtaleGiro and Digipost. You need the KID (customer ID) and account number from the payee.

Pay your bills in the normal way until you see the bill automatically in the Payment summary. This can take up to 6 weeks.

What is the maximum amount and how do I change this?

The maximum amount specifies the maximum amount the recipient can charge to your account. If the amount is higher than the maximum amount, it will be stopped.

To change the maximum amount, go to “Everyday banking and loans” - “AvtaleGiro and eFaktura (eInvoice)” - “Change AvtaleGiro agreement”.

How can I stop or delete a payment?

If you do not want the payment to be charged to an account, you can stop the due date in the “Payment summary” under “Everyday banking and loans”. Click on the gear symbol to the right of the payment to make changes.

Where can I find details of the payment?

You will find it in the online bank under “Everyday banking and loans” and “AvtaleGiro and eFaktura (eInvoice)”. Select the shortcut “Details AvtaleGiro agreement”.

eFaktura FAQ

What is always eFaktura (eInvoice)?

With eFaktura (eInvoice), you get your bills fully filled out directly in your online bank. eFaktura must always be confirmed in the online bank in order for the payment to be made.

With Always eFaktura, you can choose to agree to get eFaktura from all companies that offer this. In other words, you can no longer enter into an eFaktura agreement with the individual company you want to pay.

You can always create eInvoices by logging into the online bank, clicking on «Everyday banking and loans», then at the bottom, under «Pay and transfer», click on «AvtaleGiro and eFaktura (eInvoice)

I have AvtaleGiro, can I have eFaktura (eInvoice) as well?

Yes, you can have eFaktura (eInvoice) if the payee offers AvtaleGiro in combination with eFaktura. Your bills are paid automatically, while you also have an overview of what you’re paying for via your eInvoices.

Where can I find the invoice details on the e-Invoice?

You can open the invoice documentation in PDF format by clicking on the blue eFaktura (eInvoice) icon behind the bill in the Payment summary. If you need a voucher for a paid invoice, you can get it under Completed Payments.

Why have I received a paper invoice?

This may be because you do not have the Always eFaktura (eInvoice) agreement active. From May 2022, it is no longer possible to receive eFaktura (eInvoice) claims via the old eFaktura agreements that you set up individually and directly with businesses.

How do I pay an eFaktura (eInvoice)?

You pay eFaktura (eInvoice) in the online bank under “Everyday banking and loans” and “Pay invoice”. It will then be paid on the due date you have chosen.

How can I see that an eFaktura (eInvoice) has been paid?

When you have paid the bill, it is stored electronically in the online bank. All paid eFaktura (eInvoice) can be found under “Everyday banking and loans” and “Issued payments”.

What happens if I terminate the Always eFaktura agreement?

You will then receive all your bills on paper. Remember, you can also at any time easily opt out of individual issuers instead of terminating the eFaktura (eInvoice) service itself.
