Payment

The bank has the following updates for deposits to accounts, all weekdays; approximately 06:15, 09:10, 11:45, 13:45 and the final update is at 15:45.

Log in to the online bank and select "Settings" and "Change payment limit" in the main menu. You can change the payment limit yourself up to NOK 5 000 000. If you need a higher payment limit, you can send us a message from the inbox in the online bank. You can also start a chat when you are logged in or call us on 915 04800.

For information: all electronic payments via online bank, mobile banking app, telegiro and SMS have a payment limit for security reasons. This payment limit applies to all payments in a calendar month. The limit applies to you as a customer, regardless of the number of accounts you have access to in your online bank.

All payments that are due can be found in the online bank under "Everyday banking and loans" and "Payment overview".

You can stop and change a payment in the payment overview by reactivating or changing details on a payment. Click on the cog wheel to the right of the payment to make changes.

If your payment is stopped, it is usually due to insufficient funds in the account at the time the payment is due to leave the account, or that the maximum amount on the AvtaleGiro agreement is lower than the due amount and must be increased for the due amount to be charged to your account.

Contactless payment with card has become the dominant payment method for Norwegian consumers in physical shops, and we understand that some also wish to pay contactlessly with their mobile.

With instant payment in the mobile bank/mobile app, the payment will be executed immediately.

Instant payment between DNB customers is always free – regardless of amount.

Instant payment from a DNB account to other banks is charged at NOK 75 for amounts over NOK 5 000 (payments between NOK 0–5 000 are free, from NOK 5 001 onwards a charge applies).

Instant payment from customers under 18 years of age is free (regardless of amount).

It is not possible to use instant payment to a recipient with a business account and/or KID agreement.

With Debit immediately in the online bank, you can transfer immediately between DNB accounts. Recipients at other banks will receive the funds in their account the following day.

A standing order is a regular transfer between your own accounts, to another recipient in DNB or another bank.

You can change or stop a standing order in the online bank under "Everyday banking and loans" and "Standing orders". Click on the cog wheel to the right to change/stop the order.

By clicking on the "Everyday banking and loans" tab and "Completed payments", you can see all payments that have been made. By clicking on the gear icon to the right of a payment, you can view the details and print a receipt.
