What is vehicle insurance for companies?

Company vehicle insurance covers damage/injury that the vehicle causes other vehicles, people and buildings. You can choose from third-party, mini comprehensive, comprehensive and fully comprehensive. Most people choose comprehensive or fully comprehensive which, among other things, cover damage to the company vehicle in the event of a collision – even when you are at fault in the accident.

Does my business need car insurance for company vehicles?

Yes, liability insurance is required by law for all vehicles in use.

What should I do in the event of damage to the company vehicle?

Report the damage to the insurance company immediately, take pictures and document the damage. You can do this at the insurance portal.

What is a no-claims bonus?

A no-claims bonus is a reward for claim-free driving. For every claim-free year you get a reduction in the premium. The higher the bonus, the lower the insurance premium. Maximum bonus is 75%.

How can I terminate the insurance?

Sold, wrecked or stolen vehicles:

You don’t need to give us notice that the vehicle insurance will expire, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration will inform us of this. We cannot terminate the insurance before we receive notice from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. Any overpaid insurance premium and road traffic insurance tax will be automatically refunded.

You must still contact us if:

You’ve returned a leased vehicle. When changing to a vehicle that doesn’t require general liability insurance (for example unregistered vehicles, trailers etc.)

What does vehicle insurance cover?

Car insurance covers, among other things, damage to third parties, the vehicle, fire, theft and damage in the event of collisions depending on the chosen coverage.

How is a vehicle theft reported?

Report the injury immediately to the police and register it in the insurance portal with the necessary documentation. Read more in the insurance portal.

What is deductible?

Excess is the amount that, as the policyholder, you must cover after a claim.

Does the excess affect the price?
Yes, by selecting a higher excess than normal, you can reduce the price significantly. The higher the excess you choose, the lower the premium.

What happens to the excess in the event of a claim disbursement?
The amount paid by the insurance company is the calculated loss minus your excess.

How do I change the odometer reading and mileage on my car insurance?

You can easily log in to the insurance portal and update both the mileometer reading and mileage there.
