Get your salary in the right account

Make sure your salary goes into the correct account. All you need to do is give your employer your account number at DNB and ask them to make the payments into this one instead.

Remember that not only your employer needs to have the details of your current account. Among others, NAV (the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration), the Norwegian Tax Administration and the Loan Fund need your account at DNB to make payments.

Current account FAQs

Where can I find bank statements and receipts?

You will be sent a monthly bank statement to your online bank inbox or by post. You can find a copy of the previous bank statements under “Everyday banking and loans” and “Archive”.

You’ll find receipts for payments in the online bank under “Everyday banking and loans” and “Issued payments”. If you want a receipt for payments made by card, you must use the bank statement. You can also find the individual payment under “Everyday banking and loans” and “My finances”

Why open a joint account?

One of you can open a new account in the online bank under “Everyday banking and loans” and “Open new account”. Then, the account holder can add the other person as an account signatory via “Everyday banking and loans” and “Manager” (use the person's national identity number).

How can I close an account?

You can easily close an account in your online bank under “Everyday banking and loans” and “Close account”. Before you can close an account, all agreements, AvtaleGiro and cards must be cancelled.

How do I open an account?

You can quickly and easily open a new current account, savings account, security deposit account or BSU home savings scheme in your online bank under “Everyday banking and loans” and “Open new account”.

How do I hide an account in the online bank?

If there is an account you don’t want to see in the online bank, you can tick «Hide» under “Settings” and “Custom account settings”.

How can others help with payments, transfers etc.?

At various phases of life, the need for help may arise. By being an account signatory of an account, you can log in to your own online bank with your own BankID and pay bills from accounts you have available.
