It’s worthwhile having insurance both at home and when you’re travelling. If you are between 18 and 34 years old you can get household contents and travel insurance in one package. This means two insurance coverages, but just one price.

Price for the Young package

Per month: 161 NOK

Price per year is NOK 1932. The Young package includes insurance for home contents and travel.

Who is the insurance suitable for?

Insurance Young can be bought by anyone aged 18 to 34 years. In addition, there are terms and conditions in the insurance that make it more suitable for some than others.

Young package with household contents and travel insurance

  • is only valid for you, and does not cover your cohabitant or children.
  • covers up to 70 days’ consecutive travel.
  • does not cover values over NOK 300 000.

  • Accidental damage to household contents
  • Accidental damage to mobile phones and tablets
  • Moving insurance
  • ID theft
  • Building changes for wheelchair users after an accident
  • Theft of personal belongings from private vehicles and leisure boats

Are there any limits to the cover?
  • Individual items or collections worth over NOK 300 000
  • Jewellery and gold worth over NOK 300 000
  • For some damage and objects, the compensation sum is limited
What are my obligations?

The insurance certificate specifies which information is used as a basis. If anything is incorrect, you must inform us immediately.

Security regulations are damage prevention and damage limitation measures you must take, and you will find these in the insurance certificate.

In the event of injury you must contact us as soon as possible. If you do not comply with your obligations, the settlement payment may be reduced, fully or partly.

What does the insurance not cover?

The insurance does not cover maintenance and improvements.

Where is the insurance valid?

The insurance is valid at the insured location that is agreed and specified in the insurance certificate.

  • Hospital stays
  • Summoning of next of kin

Accidents

  • Accidental injury resulting from a sudden and unforeseen external physical incident
  • Expenses for necessary treatment in the Nordic countries 2 years after the injury date

Cancellation

  • Cancellation which is due to own or close family’s illness/death.

Evacuation

  • Natural disasters during travel outside of Norway
  • War, terror, rebellion
  • Epidemic during travel outside of Norway
  • Excess on rental cars on holiday or while travelling
  • Liability and legal aid during travel outside of Norway
Are there any limits to the cover?
  • The insurance does not apply at permanent places of work/study during working hours/study hours in the Nordic countries
  • The insurance applies for single trips lasting up to 70 days.
  • Where sums are stated in the insurance certificate or terms and conditions, the damage will be compensated up to the specified sums
  • Some items have age restrictions
  • For children, the insurance expires when they turn 21 years old
  • The accident insurance expires at the age of 75 years
  • From and including the third incidence of damage to a mobile phone within one calendar year, the excess is NOK 3000
  • Hospital stay and sending for family must be approved by the company in advance
  • In the event of a delay and having to catch up with the travel itinerary, the company must be contacted before new tickets are booked
  • Evacuation must be ordered by Norwegian or local authorities
  • You must be a member of the Norwegian National Insurance Scheme and have a residential address in the Nordic countries
  • The insurance must be bought before or at the same time as ordering the trip/tenancy
  • The insurance does not cover trips to countries/areas with a high risk of war, terror and political unrest

  • Motor vehicles, caravan/trailers, boats and equipment/accessories for these
  • Drones
  • Moveable goods
  • Software
  • Products imported into Norway in breach of applicable customs/tax rules

Delays

  • Delayed luggage or arrival on return journey
  • Expenses caused by flight delay or cancellation which the airlines themselves are liable for
  • Delayed arrived less than 8 hours

Illness/accident

  • Injury due to aerial sports, diving below 40 metres and martial arts
  • Injury due to alcohol and drugs
  • Participation in expeditions
  • Staying at heights above 6000 metres
  • Sending for family if home journey imminent
  • Practice of professions with high risk of accident
  • Training for or participation in organised sports competitions after the age of 16

Cancellation

  • Fear of war and terror
  • Pregnancy or birth from and including 36th week of pregnancy
  • Deterioration of illness that was highly likely to occur

Evacuation

  • Expenses refunded by other operators
Where is the insurance valid?
  • Worldwide
  • The travel starts when you leave your permanent address and ends when you come back
  • Accident insurance all day long, including when the insured party is not travelling
  • Liability and legal aid only applies to travel outside of the Nordic countries.
