Get started with Garmin Pay
Garmin Pay is a simple way to pay where your physical card is replaced by a smartwatch. When you set up Garmin Pay, a token is created. The token is a digital version of your physical bank card.
To use Garmin Pay, you need a smartwatch from Garmin and a Visa or Mastercard from DNB that supports contactless payment (NFC). The solution requires a Norwegian mobile number.
- Download the Garmin Pay app from Google Play or the App Store on your Android or iOS phone
- Select "Garmin Pay" and add your desired DNB card
- Accept terms and conditions
- Enter the confirmation code you receive
Garmin Pay is now ready to use.

Using Garmin Pay
You can pay with Garmin Pay at all payment terminals that accept Visa and Mastercard contactless payments, both in Norway and abroad.
There are no fees associated with paying with Garmin Pay.
First and foremost, you will see that the transaction is approved on the point-of-sale (POS) payment terminal. You will also receive confirmation in the form of a push notification on your phone.
When making a payment, activate the screen and select Garmin Pay before holding your watch over a point-of-sale (POS) payment terminal.

Security and Garmin Pay
As with other unknown transactions, you should dispute it from your online banking once logged in.
Yes, DNB has conducted a thorough security assessment before including Garmin Pay as a new payment solution. Garmin Pay has been assessed to meet all of DNB's security requirements.
The first thing you should do is block or delete the digital bank card in the Garmin app on your phone. If you have problems blocking or deleting it, you can contact customer service on +47 91504800 or chat from your online banking once logged in.
It is possible to block the digital bank card and the physical bank card independently of each other. This way, you do not need to order a new physical card if you have only lost the watch with Garmin Pay.
Please note that blocking your physical bank card may also result in blocking your digital bank card. In these cases, Garmin Pay will not be available for use.
If you choose to download and install the Garmin Pay app, you accept Garmin's terms of use, and thereby consent to sharing transaction data with Garmin. This applies only to transactions made with Garmin Pay. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deregistering your payment card. You can deregister your card in Garmin Pay or by contacting DNB. If you do not use Garmin Pay, no information is transferred to Garmin.
