How to order BankID for youth?

How to do it

To create BankID for young people between 12 and 17 years, the young person must be correctly identified through physical attendance at one of our bank branches and the child's guardian must have BankID themselves. BankID for youth is ordered in the guardian's online bank.

If the young person has two guardians, the other guardian will be notified that the young person has ordered BankID, either as an online banking message or by regular post.
Once we have checked that everything is in order, we will notify you that the young person can complete the order. This normally happens within three days.
To complete the order, the young person must log in to their own online bank with a code device and personal password. When logging in, the young person must select 'Log in without BankID'. Then go to Settings -> BankID and follow the instructions for activation.

Identification requirements

The young person must be registered with their own passport or Norwegian national ID cardin our systems to receive BankID for young people.

If we have not registered the passport or the Norwegian national ID card previously, this can be done by the young person visiting one of our bank branches to verify their identity. For identity verification, there is no need for a guardian to be present - the young person can come alone.

An appointment must be booked at the bank branch. The young person must also have an account with DNB to obtain BankID for Ung (Young Adults).

One of your parents or guardians can order BankID for you by clicking on 'BankID for Ung (Young Adults)' under 'Settings' in their own online bank. You will also need your own code device to log in to the online bank and create your own BankID password once the order is approved.

The other guardian will then be notified about the order via online banking message if they are a customer, or by regular post if they are not a customer of DNB.
