Yes, the card has a PIN code, but this is not used when paying contactless for small amounts. For purchases/services of goods over NOK 500 in Norway, you will be asked for your PIN when using contactless payment.

The card also has a chip and magnetic stripe as normal, and additionally contains an antenna that enables contactless payments.

In Norway:
The card is activated upon first use in a chip terminal. Hold the card up to the terminal – you will be prompted to insert the card and enter your PIN. The card is then ready for contactless payment.

Abroad:
The contactless function is activated by inserting the card into the terminal and entering your PIN. First-time use of chip and PIN activates contactless payment so that you can pay contactlessly the next time you use the card.

Yes, you can also use the card for online shopping.
The card has a card number and CVV2/CVC2 code.

No, the card must be held 4 cm or closer to the terminal for the transaction to go through.

As an extra security measure, you will occasionally be asked to insert your card into the payment terminal and enter your PIN.

Each country has agreed maximum amounts per payment. The limit on individual purchases in Norway is NOK 500 and a maximum accumulated NOK 700. Abroad there are limits (for example £25 in England).

This can be either, and varies from country to country. In Norway, there will likely be mostly offline transactions for small amounts within Visa contactless, whilst BankAxept contactless goes online.
