Sick pay insurance is important for people with company employees who have salaries over 6 G.
The National Insurance Scheme only covers salaries up to 6 G. With sick pay insurance, the business is covered for salary payments beyond 6 G during the sickness benefit period according to an agreed waiting period and compensation period.
The size of the settlement payments depends on the unemployment benefit rate for the employee at the time the sick leave commences and the degree of disability the illness or injury causes.
The settlement payments are given as a day rate per sick day. A compensation period of 360 days is normally agreed. If the waiting period is agreed to 16 days, the disbursements start after the first 16 days of absence.
